Daniel Blumberg: Silverpoint Drawings
Daniel Blumberg (born 1990, London) is an artist and composer whose visual practice focuses on silverpoint drawing. His work is characterised by an intense economy of means and a disciplined engagement with line, gesture, and material. Blumberg’s drawings evoke a fragile, time-bound presence, drawing on historical techniques while asserting a distinctly contemporary sensibility.
His work has been exhibited and performed internationally at institutions including the Triennale, Milan; ICA, London; Kunsthal, Rotterdam; the Venice Biennale; Deichtorhallen, Hamburg; KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin; and the Bourse de Commerce, Paris.
Alongside his visual practice, Blumberg has released 4 solo albums on Mute Records and composed film scores, including The Brutalist, for which he received an Academy Award in 2025.
